NortonLifeLock Promotion – Product Switch Offer (Asia Pacific)

Participation

  1. Information on how to claim the Product Switch Offer (the “Offer”) and details of the Offer form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. The Offer is open to Asia Pacific residents only. Employees of NortonLifeLock and their immediate families, resellers of NortonLifeLock products including retailer staff, agencies or anyone connected with the administration of the promotion are ineligible.
  3. The Promotor reserves the right at any time, in its absolute discretion, to:
    1. to verify the validity of claims and claimants (including a claimant’s identity and place of residence)
    2. disqualify any claimant who submits a claim that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the process.
    3. reject any claim found to be abusing or tampering with the operation of the Promotion or entering using fraudulent means, or who the Promoter believes to have acted in breach of these Terms and Conditions;
    4. reject any claim submitted using fraudulent or incomplete information including but not limited to: false or incomplete names and disposable email addresses.

    Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

Offer

  1. The Offer is only valid for any new Norton product purchased to replace a paid subscription from a competitor brand household security software purchased in an Asia Pacific retail store between December 01, 2023 and May 31, 2024 (inclusive), with maximum 365 days protection remaining. The Offer is not valid in conjunction with any other rebate or bonus offer(s). For the avoidance of doubt, The Offer is not valid for Norton VPN, Norton Utilities, Norton Identity Advisor Plus, Norton AntiTrack, Norton Identity Advisor, Not For Resale, academic or upgrade purchases, site licences, small business or enterprise business product or for purchases online from the Norton Store. For the avoidance of doubt, all products with the Gen Digital family are ineligible for this promotion. The Gen Digital family comprises of brands including but not limited to Norton, Avast, LifeLock by Norton, Avira, AVG, Reputation Defender by Norton and CCleaner.
  2. The Offer is not valid in addition to a full money-back refund under Norton’s 60 day money-back guarantee. If the Offer has been claimed prior to receiving a full money-back refund, the money-back refund will be the full price paid less the value of the rebate.
  3. Limit of one rebate claim per valid full-version household product purchased, up to a maximum of one (1) rebate claim per person. Claimants must retain their original purchase receipt(s) and product packaging for all claims as proof of purchase. Failure to produce the proof of purchase for all claims when requested may, in the absolute discretion of the Promoter, result in invalidation of all of a claimant’s claims and forfeiture of any right to an Offer.
  4. The Offer is claimable via online redemption to Norton via the www.norton.com/apac/switch website. No postal claim option is available. Multiple claims cannot be made for a single valid purchase. The Offer is not transferable or exchangeable.
  5. To claim the Offer online from NortonLifeLock, the claimant must first install and activate their purchased Norton product with NortonLifeLock after 6:30am AET on December 01, 2023 and before 11:59pm May 31, 2024 to enable automatic validation of their claim. Claims after May 31, 2024 will be deemed waived by claimants. The claimant must then visit the www.norton.com/apac/switch site and follow the instructions to enter a claim via the NortonLifeLock Online Redemption Centre. Online claims will be accepted until 11:59pm AWST on May 31, 2024. If Claimant wants to bridge existing subscription and new subscription, the Claimant must still install and activate their purchased Norton product, claim the Offer, and then contact NortonLifeLock Support to assist to bridge the two subscriptions.
  6. Every valid claim will receive the equivalent remaining days from their previous security subscription added to their new Norton subscription. Claimants should allow up to 8 weeks from receipt of their claim by NortonLifeLock for addition of the equivalent days protection to their Norton account. (i.e. if customer has 45 days remaining on their previous subscription, Norton will add 45 days protection to the customer’s new Norton subscription. For the avoidance of doubt, in the event that the information provided by the Claimant is in error or is incomplete, NortonLifeLock will not be able to provide the bonus protection days to the Claimant.
  7. Claimants will be notified by email if the Promoter requires additional information or supporting documentation for their claim.

General

  1. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the claimant’s responsibility. The use of any automated software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows a claimant to automatically claim repeatedly is prohibited and will render all claims submitted by that claimant invalid.
  2. All claims remain the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects claimants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the claimant may not participate in the promotion. By participating in this promotion, unless otherwise advised by the claimant, claimant consents to their information being entered into a database and used by NortonLifeLock for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes and will be stored at the office of NortonLifeLock and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, a copy of which is available on our public website: https://www.nortonlifelock.com/privacy/norton-privacy-english.
  3. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any claimant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
  4. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limit, exclude or modify or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth.), as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Offer.
  5. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity; whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in Offer value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; or (e) the Offer.
